The thing I love most about Avatar the Last airbender was that it didn’t have an absence of sexism, it had a defeat of sexism.
Sokka was sexist, but Suki defeated him and Sokka saw that he was wrong.
The water bending master was sexist, but Katara showed she had the potential to defeat him and proved that belief wrong
